The next full Moon is on 8 April 2020 at 3.35am GMT in the UK. This is known as a 'full Pink Moon'. This moon was dubbed the 'Pink Moon' by early Native Americans because pink wildflowers appear around this time.
A full moon occurs every 29.5 days and is when the Moon is completely illuminated by the Sun's rays. It occurs when the Earth is directly aligned between the Sun and the Moon.
This Moon is sometimes known as the ‘Egg Moon’ because of the spring egg laying season. It is also used to fix the date of Easter which is always the first Sunday after the first Full Moon following the spring Equinox. Therefore, Easter Sunday falls on the 12th April this year, with the Full Moon being on the 8th April.
With the Full Moon in Libra we will have a strong need for balance and harmony which is not easy at this time. Be kind to yourself and share your feelings, good or bad, this will help to get some form of balance in your mind. We have the time now to nurture our soul and reflect on what we really want once we come through this period of self isolation. Be safe and well.
